Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your work online;

Entry

  • Drawing Crowds is an exhibition of work which focuses on exploratory drawing.
  • Work submitted for selection must be no more the 30cm in either direction including the frame. Pieces of work submitted outside of this size will not be accepted for display.
  • Initial selection will be made from images of artwork submitted via email.  The deadline for submissions of email images will be the 30th September 2011.
  • For judging, your Initial submission should be emailed as a jpeg and should be no more than 5mb in size. When sent your jpeg sould be named with the title of the piece only.
  • There is a £5 charge for each image submitted for consideration. Payment can be made via paypal, which also enables any major credit debit card to be used with or without a paypal account
  • Up to three works can be submitted for selection but only one drawing by each artist can be chosen.
  • All work submitted must be available for the duration of the exhibition period.
  • Once registered to enter and the entry fee is paid no refunds of entry fees will be offered.
  • Artists selected for the exhibition will be notified by email On the 5th October 2011. Unfortunately we are not able to enter into discussion as to why work was not selected but will provide the opportunity for discussion of your works on the website
  • We endeavour to show all submitted whether selected for the exhibition or not, as jpegs in the gallery section of this website.
  • There will be a 30% commission on any works sold though the Drawing Crowds exhibition. This should be taken into account when pricing your work. Please Mark your work as not for sale on the submission form if you do not wish to sell your work.
  • Data gathered from artists during the submission period will not be used for anything other than the drawing crowds exhibition. email addresses provided will be added to the drawing crowds mailing list automatically. An unsubscribe link will be provided at the bottom of every mailout.

Selected Work

  • All drawings selected must be framed and ready to hang with mirror plates attached to the back of the work. We recommend that mirror plates are fitted half way down either side of the frame. Please mark the back of the frame with your name.
  • Please ensure that the frames you choose are durable and in good condition. Clip frames will not be accepted.
  • All art work delivered to the gallery will be treated with care though out the time it is with the exhibition. However we can not be held responsible for any damage coursed to the works while the works are being handled for installation and take down in an appropriate manner.
  • We will take great care with your artwork  during the set up and display of your work but we are unable to offer insurance of your work whilst at the gallery. Artists are encouraged to arrange their own insurance for their work.

Delivering and Collecting your work

  • Please take care to wrap your work carefully when transporting  your work to and from the gallery. Storage space is available at the galley for the duration of the show. Please mark your packaging clearly with your name and registration number.
  • All physical work chosen for the exhibition must be delivered to the gallery before the 15th October delivered either in person or by post / courier and marked clearly  DRAWING CROWDS
  • Collection days: Sunday 20th November and Monday 21st November from 12:00 noon to 4pm.
  • If you are unable to collect your work on these dates and wish to arrange courier return please ensure that you enclose sufficient packing material to return your work, – We cannot provide packing for return artwork. You must arrange and pay for return courier collection or put in place alternate arrangements with the exhibition organisers BEFORE 22nd November.
  • Work not collected or arranged for return before the 22nd November without  reasonable explanation will be placed in auction with proceeds going to the stone gallery.

The artist is responsible for ensuring that their submission meets the criteria outlined above.
